Critical Response to Fahrenheit 451
Montag changes from the beginning to the end of the book. The way he changes is that he realizes how much literacy can have an effect on their society. He finally starts to come out of "the cave" that his society is referred to. His society is referred to as a "cave" because it is sort of like the allegory of the cave. The society is blinded, they do not realize the knowledge and the teachings a book can hold. Despite what the rules of his society say, he still decides to read books and explore what his society is forbidden from. The trigger of this change was his curiosity and his burning desire to learn. This is what I think.

Fantastic interpretation and excellent job connecting Bradbury's allusion to the Allegory of the Cave. However, you should support your ideas with some quotes from the book. Thanks for the insightful response.
